Apple or blueberry?

Blueberry muffins are such a delight!

We are having a fabulous crop of blueberries this year! I LOVE blueberries, and love having them all year long. So far, we have had three pickings and already got over four gallons!!!! Needless to say, we have enjoyed God's provision as we have partaken in blueberry muffins, blueberry pancakes, blueberry pie, and blueberries in our oatmeal. YUM! I enjoy picking them as this affords me quiet time outside. However, yesterday there were so many blueberries that I decided to get help.....at $.25 a bucket. Suddenly I had helpers all around! We also have a large amount of yellow transparent apples on our tree. The children will also get paid $.25 a bucket....a five gallon bucket filled with apples. Yellow transparent apples are ready in August and make the best applesauce and apple pies ever! The smells coming from our kitchen are incredible! No need for candles for now! ;-)

Oh the blessings of having such an amazing cook for a mother! And such an awesome teacher. So far we have had some amazing dishes from our bumper crop of blueberries and thanks to Anna such an amazing apple pie DELICIOUS!!!!! Not to make anybody jealous but it just melted in your mouth. ;-)

Remembering the applesauce gift for Rick's birthday a few years ago.... he LOVED it so much he went and bought us 2 trees to plant so we could enjoy them too! It was THAT GOOD!!!! I just looked out back yesterday for the first time in a long time and guess what???? One of our trees is loaded!!!! I had no idea we'd have them now. Guess it's time I get busy too.... before Family Camp. Thanks again! Grace
