The Green Light

Just a very quick update for everyone. The other day, AFTER I had posted, Craig called with some news. Monday we will have one less appointment as we no longer need to meet with the GI doctor. He reviewed our case and has given the green light to move forward with chemo and transplant! Mixed emotions here. Excitement that it's a go, sadness that it's a go. Well, that it is going to happen this next week anyway, or maybe just the fact that it needs to be done in the first place. Wow. It's been seven months since Anna was diagnosed. There have been so many "go than stop" scenario's that I actually will only believe it fully when she is admitted. Until then, we want to completely take advantage of the GORGEOUS days between now and then as we can. I'm so thankful that God has given us some of the nicest weather we could ask for!! What a special treat for these last moments together for a while.

  3. Dear Houstons,
We are thankful that God is continuing to give the green light toward Anna's transplant. I totally understand the I will believe it as it is happening thought process. I always had to have that when Dave was in the Navy because schedules changed so often. I would say I will believe it fully when I see him walking through our door at home. Even then it could be filled with a twist or a turn or 2. I am so thankful for the beautiful weather that we will be having too. Our God is Good! It's green light to go!

  4. Praise God! I am joyful and excited for you all as things move toward transplant! The emotion of fear is also present, but it is replaced by peace after prayer. Psalm 46!

  6. We love and miss you all. So hard to be far away. It is sad to me to not have you all able to be here for Elisabeth and Tyler's wedding. Always thought it would be a time shared with you. I am happy you got into your summer home and are enjoying this beautiful weather. Would love to talk to Anna or anybody!
