Jogging in place |
I told Anna I was going to take a picture of her jogging in place and post it! So she made sure to smile pretty for you all!! Today we got some great news! Anna's blood work sheet revealed to us that her neutrophils are showing up at 94!!!! What does that mean? It means that Anna's cells are starting to graft....TWO days ahead of schedule!!!! Day +14 is usually the EARLIEST that they start seeing signs of grafting!!! We are praising the Lord! The doctors were very pleased and excited! Anna won't be considered "grafted" until her numbers reach 500 for two days in a row but at least we are seeing life!! This news seemed to boost Anna's spirit even more! Also, the pain meds have finally reached the place that her pain is minimal so she is feeling a tad better! She even ate some treats today....which made her nauseous but it was good while she ate it! To date Anna has had two platelet transfusions and zero blood transfusions. Her red cell count seems to be hanging in there for now. All of the terms are a bit difficult to understand so I'll just leave it at that for now. But we praise the Lord for such a great day today!
This is so awesome to hear. Praise the Lord!! stay strong Anna, I love you and am always praying for you!!

This is amazing! God is so good!!! "Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? who can shew forth all his praise?" Psalm 106:1,2. I love you guys!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, praise the Lord! Keep fighting! And hoping. I love you, Anna!

ReplyDeletePraise the LORD!
ReplyDeletePraise the LORD, O my soul!
I will praise the LORD as long as I live;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
Put not your trust in princes,
in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.
When his breath departs, he returns to the earth;
on that very day his plans perish.
Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the LORD his God,
(Psalm 146:1-5 ESV)
This is what we've been praying for! This is a true miracle of God. I'll still pray for you, Anna. Love you,
Kristi

Yay! Praise the Lord!! "...weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5b
ReplyDeleteTHANK You for the update... GOD is so good! I have to say Anna that not only is your faith in action a testamony, but your commitment to keeping your body strong. I was procrastinating taking a walk and making numerous excuses in my head why I should sit at my sewing machine instead... Your mamma's post of your struggle with sores in your throat/digestive track and then your "jogging" in place to keep strong was a message of "no excuses". Thank you. This seems small in your large fight, but truly you are a gift to us from God in your fighting the fight, "When I am weak, then I am strong". Cor.2:10 ...I am off now for my walk & will be praying with every step for your continues healing.
ReplyDeleteMuch love sent to you and your family... Sally Coppinger
Anna,
ReplyDeleteWe are so thankful for these early signs of grafting! Praise the Lord! God is so good!
“Sing, O heavens!
Be joyful, O earth!
And break out in singing, O mountains!
For the LORD has comforted His people,
And will have mercy on His afflicted.
But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me,
And my Lord has forgotten me.”
Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.”
- Isaiah 49:13-16
We pray for you and your family every day, Anna!

We are all overjoyed at this great news, Anna! God is working a miracle in your body and we praise Him!
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you're trying to move around and exercise each day. Here's a great website I've found for brief exercising and stretching: http://sparkpeople.com/resource/videos.asp.
I like this girl because: 1) she's dressed modestly, 2) her exercises are geared for all levels and abilities, from short, 5-minute walking workouts to 30-min cardio workouts, 3) it's incremental, 4) she targets different areas, such as stretching, lower/upper body, armchair exercises, lower back, etc.
Perhaps this might be a helpful tool for you (that is, if your parents and doctor approves) as you battle to regain your strength.
Micah and Amy are downstairs right now, practicing and practicing for your upcoming concert. They received a bad report about some of their pieces, so there is much work to be done before June 15th. It all sounds great to me, though! :)
Know all of the Tanakas love you and your family and are praying for all of you, Anna!
Love,
Mrs. Tanaka, for us all
Dear Houston Family,
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord!! It never ceases to amaze me how the Lord is working in your lives. Anna is such an encouragement to many of us.... Very thankful that she has the desire and ability to exercise and as someone else said it helps us to realize when we don't, it just an excuse. Continuing to diligently pray daily for the Houston family.
God Bless you,
Rick Potvin
Pr. 3:5-6
Rejoicing and praying! How good the Lord is, and how grateful I am to Him for Anna's example to me. I can't imagine what all this is like on your end, but know the Lord is changing hearts and perspectives of a great number of onlookers. May His joy continue to be your strength, dear Anna! With love and prayers,

ReplyDelete"For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers. The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter." -Psalm 74:12-17
great scripture Emilee thanks for posting it
